I think I ought to at least post something… just to prove that I am still very much alive
What have I been doing these days Well, if I say, I have struggling to survive
… I am not that wrong… but it is just too depressing to be posting about such morbid things after so long…
So, I shall write about happier things…
perhaps about my present obsession and no, it is not about
Since 2009, I have this secret obsession with Ladybirds. I blame !
When I was in Sapporo in Nov 2009, for the concert, My Girl was at its peak and they sang My Girl… and we all knew what was associated with My Girl… okay, apart from this
… Yes!! Ladybirds!! In Dec 2009, when I was in Tokyo for
the finale for My Girl was screened and I bought the first items in my obsession…
… Ladybird Ear Studs in
colours… my only regret was that I bought one piece of each colour instead of a pair and I did not get all the Jr ones… When I went back to Tokyo in 2010, the stall was no longer there and I can’t complete my collection.
Anyway, since 2009, my collection has grown… The Ladybird Magnets aside (which now swamps my office metal cabinets – too bad, I do not a picture of them), I have increased my collection to include the following (I’ll try to put them in chronological order of their purchase ):
A small jewellery case to store my
ladybird ear studs…
I have so many lifestyle devices and charger cables and wires I really needed help to organise them
My most expensive item in the collection to date…
I had to ponder 2 whole months before I finally bought the last piece. I could not even buy a spare one as they have discontinued production for this design
After I bought this, I had to find some use for them…
So I when I was in Osaka, I had to get this … and after I “marked” it as mine with this
and
and
I started filling it with
shigoto ...
Of course I did not stop at it… in Osaka, I also bought this yes, another pair of ear studs… I resisted getting the brooch though… not much regrets there though
I did however get this (3 in fact) in case *touchwood* my really expensive one is damaged or lost…
After Osaka, while shopping at the Loft in Tokyo’s Shibuya, I got this … the finger sized one is happily sitting in my office.
I even bought a pair of ladybird shoes (colours), but I forgot to take a photo… so, I guess I will only upload that later…
Yuko’s omiyagi from Italy was a lovely eco bag. I loved it so much – I mean the concept of having such a prettily designed eco-bag that when I read that people born in the year of Rat needed to carry some cow motif items, I had to get this
… While picking this up, sitting right next to it was a
one… How can I resist? So I bought 2…
in case something happened to the first one mah…
So now, both the cow and the ladybird hang prettily from my BurBlue and follows me practically everywhere… the neko… erghhh it unfortunately is now sitting in my cupboard
I guess, after awhile people around me started noticing my obsessions and well, LS gave me a pretty little bookmark… which is also pinned on the walls in my office…
AC was shopping and she spied this and I have been wearing them, together with my ladybird shoes and oh yes… a blouse printed all over with ladybird (black and white, abstract) …
The other day, after a department CNY celebrations, AC, GK and myself were stuck in my car in a freak jam in a multi-storey car park. I had the Scene DVD in my car, so, I started playing it for them… the jam was so bad that we managed to finish watching the first disc…
Tonight I gave them both a lift home… Boku no Miteiru Fuukei was playing in the car…
Both of them declared that they LOVE “let me down” especially after seeing it being performed on the DVD and those swinging hips … then when “Troublemaker” started, they “screamed” that it was a NICE song and they LOVE it!!!
AC even suggested that I bring the DVD and perhaps we can book the auditorium and watch it during lunch….
I told AC, that it was an excellent idea and I shall work towards Arashify our two sections!
Just got to write it.
